When the seasons chance, your wardrobe must keep up. In the summer you put aside sweaters, long pants and gloves and in winter you do not wind up in your shirt and shorts.
This is also true for perfumes, depending on the notes they contain. There are three, ranked in relation to when they can be felt on the skin. That’s why perfumes change their smell over the course of a day.
The top notes are felt immediately after applying the fragrance and is composed of small and light molecules that evaporate very quickly. As a rule, these are more harsh and leave a strong impression. The heart notes rise after the first notes evaporate and represent the central piece of the perfume. It is the most persistent smell and counterbalance the harsh aroma of the first notes. The base notes appear last, in addition to the middle ones. They are usually composed of larger and heavier molecules that persist longer.
They are at the top of the list because spring is the most active season for vegetation. It is the moment when you are assaulted from all the smells that appear to you after the long winter.
The most suitable flavors are those that leave the feeling of freshness and greenness in tune with nature. You have to keep in mind that the perfume should decrease in intensity as the temperature rises. Therefore, the appropriate notes for spring are citrus, floral, mint, basil, orange or almond.
Heat can make a perfume evaporate much faster. In the warm season, the amount used should be less than usual, because your skin is more exposed and the scent is spreading faster.
The right summer flavors are calvunas, marine aromas, bergamot, mimosa, rose, jasmine, honey, lily, vanilla, patchouli, tuberose and melon.
Temperatures begins to fall this season and you have to put more clothes on you. For this reason, the flavor is spreading harder.
Even if the temptation is great, try not to use too much perfume. It does not matter the quantity applied. Autumn scent must be the balance between fresh spring perfume and the hardest and most dense winter.
The right notes for autumn are ylang-ylang, lemon, coiander, iris, lily of the valley, sandalwood, vetiver, jasmine and generally woody aromas.
The notes used for the cold season must leave the impression of sobriety and elegance. It’s pretty difficult to use the right perfume for the winter.
The quantity must be large enough for the smell to pass through clothes but sufficiently subtle to not smell too strong.
In winter, the flavors that gives you a feeling of warmth and safety are cinnamon, tuberose, vanilla, bergamot, peach, queen-night, patchouli.
Of course, you can choose to wear that essence that represents you, but it is indicated to respect these unspoken rules if you want to be seen as a lady in public, no matter the season.
